CCAvenue continues to offer maximum level of security for online payments, achieves renewal of certification for PCI DSS 3.2.1 Compliance
11th February, 2022
In alignment with its uncompromising attitude towards online data security and protection of customer information, Infibeam Avenues has recently renewed its PCI DSS 3.2.1 certification for its digital payments platform. With Infibeam Avenues Ltd already having achieved ISO 27001:2013 compliance, CCAvenue offers a double layer of security to millions of merchants availing its advanced payment solutions.

The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council was set up by five prominent credit card providers including MasterCard, American Express, Visa, JCB and Discover in 2006. With the aim of offering a proprietary information security standard to organizations that handle branded credit cards, the council created Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This standard provides an enhanced framework for developing and maintaining a robust payment card data security process, including prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to security incidents. PCI DSS 3.2.1 is the latest version of the PCI DSS.

In a bid to equip its business partners with these latest standards in security in payment processing and data protection, Infibeam Avenues has met data security requirements through periodic upgrades and efficient management of its systems and resources. CCAvenue, a leading payments solutions provider, was the first India based entity to comply with the PCI DSS certification in the year 2011.

With the implementation of tokenization in its network through CCAvenue TokenPay, the company has reduced the data footprint in its digital environment to ensure safer storage and processing of card data.

Commenting on the renewal of the PCI DSS 3.2.1 certification, Mr. Vishwas Patel, the Executive Director at Infibeam Avenues Limited, stated: "CCAvenue has always strived to maintain itself as a certified entity through the upkeep of secure networks and pursuance of best practices for online payments processing, data encryption and tokenisation, restriction of access to information and various other security controls. This achievement is testimony to our steadfast commitment towards providing a highly secure digital payments environment for our merchants as well as for millions of customers making transactions on their websites."
