29th November, 2016
Avenues India, the recognized eCommerce solutions provider and the parent company of CCAvenue.com, today announced that it has been certified as fully compliant with PCI DSS version 3.2. About PCI DSS 3.2
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
In September 2006, the five major credit card providers including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB formed an independent council (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council) with an aim to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud. The council created the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards. PCI DSS provides an actionable framework for developing a robust payment card data security process, including prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to security incidents. It ensures security of payment account data in a globally consistent manner. PCI DSS 3.2 is the latest version of the PCI DSS. To know more, visit www.pcisecuritystandards.org
