Payment gateway CCAvenue introduces scheme to woo small ventures

Online payment gateway, CCAvenue.com has introduced an economy plan that is aimed to attract startups or e-commerce websites to use its services.

As per the scheme, an initial payment waiver worth Rs. 7, 500 will be given to startups also the annual software up gradation fee of Rs. 1,200 for the first year will also be waived off. The transaction fees on all categories except credit card however remain the same in the free package.

Mohan Nair, CMO Avenue India Pvt Ltd said that owing to the growing number of credit card users, the transaction fee rate for credit card has been reduced from 7% to 5.5%, stated a report from Medianama.

CCAvenue is hoping to convert the merchants from free package to its premium, privilege packages or customized packages, he said.

Recently, the company has also launched a real time payment gateway monitoring communication system. This new technology will track the servers that are running and the ones that are having down time in real-time, 24x7.

It will help merchants to direct customers to payment gateway of other banks in case the first gateway is down.
