CCAvenue Wants it All; Launches DIY Webstore Builder, Multi Currency Payment Gateway
Published by Bizfeedz   |  27th January, 2014 - Mumbai, India
Payment gateway provider CCAvenue has launched a multi-currency payment gateway which will accept and process payments in 27 major global currencies and is offering a free webstore builder to go with it.

The new platform comes bundled with features like Smart Dynamic Routing for better success rate, iFrame integration for a seamless shopping experience, Retry for completing failed transaction and 1-Click Checkout for quick checkout process.

Among the payment gateways in India, CCAvenue has the largest market-share.

Free Webstore Builder

The company is also offering a fully customisable Webstore for free with the new platform. The launch puts CCAvenue in competition with players like Shopify, Zepo, BuildaBazaar (See: Compared: Shopify, Zepo, BuildaBazaar) and others.

The storefront will be free till the end of March 2015.

Marketing Analytics Tool

Merchants can choose from customizable and ready-to-use templates to build websites and showcase products. The payments company also launched Brand 360°, a marketing analytics tool that gives an overall review and report pertaining SEO, Social Media efforts, Brand reputation and more.

Vishwas Patel, CEO, Avenues India says

"CCAvenue is taking a giant leap to evolve from a pure payment gateway to being an one-stop solution provider to offer all the aspects required to run an online business, free of cost."

"Payment gateway would always remain our forte and we would now process payment in multiple foreign currencies and make it global," he said. CCAvenue's Social Network In-Stream payments lets you collect payments in-stream across social networks.

The storefront, analytics product and global payment gateway are by far very ambitious. If the storefront is tied to CCAvenue's payment gateway, it means better integration. However, it would also mean that the storefront owner won't be able to switch out the payment gateway from underneath after the site has been built.
