Online payment gateway provider CCAvenue has launched a multi-lingual checkout/payment page for websites and apps. The Indian languages offered by the gateway include Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi. The gateway also supports various international languages like Arabic, Chinese, French, Deutsch, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Spanish, other than English. MediaNama Readers might recall that at the time of our #NAMAIndic discussion last year, it was learnt that there wasn't any Indic language gateway for e-commerce businesses.

The new payment gateway also allows merchants to customize its looks including adding a brand logo and modifying the color scheme to replicate the look and feel of the merchant's website. CCAvenue also claims to use a smart dynamic routing system and a retry option to ensure a higher success rate on transactions, while offering an integration API for various shopping carts to integrate its payment gateway.

Other than this the new payment gateway supports 6 credit cards, over 73 debit cards, more than 48 net banking options, 8 prepaid wallets and EMIs from 7 banks, in addition to payment options in 27 different currencies including Baht, USD, Rupee, Raka, Yuan, Yen, Riyal and Rand among others.

In November, CCAvenue and UAE-based financial institution Mashreq partnered to launch an e-commerce and m-commerce payment solution in UAE. For smaller businesses and individuals the payment solution will offer easy integration and better customizations, while for larger enterprises the platform will provide automated electronic invoicing through SMS and email, multiple currency processing, marketing tools and social media in-stream payments (S.N.I.P) among other features.

Previously, CCAvenue had re-launched as an e-commerce suite, with features like a DIY webstore, analytics solution, reputation monitoring, website uptime, facebook and twitter management, facebook apps, dynamic routing and billing in 27 currencies in India, in January this year. The company had then moved its existing customers to the new platform.
