CCAvenue, India's leading payment gateway today announced an association with Idea Mobile Commerce Services Ltd. (IMCSL), a subsidiary of Idea Cellular, the third largest mobile network operator in the country. Through this alliance, 1 lakh+ merchants registered with CCAvenue will now have Idea Money mobile wallet as a payment option on their websites and apps. The partnership will expand the reach of CCAvenue merchants across India and also offer greater convenience to customers while they transact on 85% of Indian eCommerce websites powered by the payment gateway.

Idea Money is an RBI approved semi-closed wallet with nearly 3.4 million customers. Currently available in 17 circles, the wallet is carrier agnostic and is availed by both registered subscribers of the telco as well as non-Idea users, for conducting a variety of transactions like prepaid mobile recharges, DTH recharges, utility bill payments, money transfers & more. With the addition of this payment option, CCAvenue has opened a new window of opportunities for its merchants, who can now tap into the large customer base of Idea Money and maximize their revenue earning potential by a significant amount.

Commenting on the association with IMCSL, Mr. Vishwas Patel, Chief Executive Officer at CCAvenue said: "Today, almost half of the eCommerce payments in the country are happening through mobile wallets. Idea Money wallet is currently available for Android and iOS devices. To make payments via the wallet, all customers have to do is create an Idea Money account and load money into their wallet using net banking, credit or debit cards.
